Lauran Jones | Editor-in-Chief
Lauran Jones is a sophomore at University of North Carolina Wilmington. Known as a slam poet in her hometown, Lauran's excited to set foot on the literary scene in Wilmington. For as long as she can remember, her goal has been to add a splash of color to the literary world and she's thrilled to be able to do that through Seabreeze. Lauran's worked as an editor in many capacities and she's enthusiastic to work with the E-board and community to create a space for black writers. |
Fairley Lloyd | Nonfiction Editor
Fairley Lloyd is a senior majoring in Creative Writing with a Certificate in Publishing at the University of North Carolina Wilmington. Lloyd currently writes for her Her Campus magazine and her university’s newspaper, The Seahawk. In addition to writing, Lloyd enjoys reading, dancing, and crafting. |
Ricki Nelson | Poetry Editor
Ricki Nelson is a senior studying in Creative Writing and Film Studies at the University of North Carolina Wilmington. Ricki’s writing and spoken word performances is often shared through her Instagram, poetry blog, @RickiWrites. While she possesses a deep love for poetry, Ricki enjoys writing in all styles. When she’s not writing, she enjoys reading, watching Netflix, thrifting, and exploring the world around her.

Siobahn Daughtery | Fiction Editor
Siobahn Williams Daugherty studies Creative Writing and Film at the University of North Carolina Wilmington with the intention of pursuing a career in publishing. Not only is she the Fiction Editor of Seabreeze, but she is also the upcoming Fiction Editor of Atlantis. She has had a short story and a poem published in Second Story Journal. When she’s not writing or editing, Daugherty can be found napping, helping her residents, or preaching the gospel that Twilight is the Godfather of YA.

Tatyana Williams | Social Media Coordinator
Tatyana Williams is a junior majoring in Film Studies and Journalism at the University of North Carolina Wilmington. Aside from her duties as social media coordinator, Tatyana's an RA and Lead Editor for UNCW's TealTV. She's an avid reader in her spare time as well as YouTube watcher and video editor.

Advisors
Sean Palmer has served as Upperman Center Director since March 2016. Palmer earned his Master of Divinity degree from Duke Divinity School, a master’s degree in African and African American Studies from Clark Atlanta University and a bachelor’s degree in English with double minors in African American studies and religious studies from Macalester College in St. Paul, MN. While at Duke, Sean advised several student organizations, managed and advised the National PanHellenic Council, planned academic lectures and events, and was a mentor to undergraduate and graduate students.

Manny Lloyd is the Program Coordinator for Cultural Enrichment for the Upperman Center. A 2018 UNCW alum with a bachelor’s degree in political science. As a cultural enrichment programs coordinator, Manny designs programming to help individuals to better understand Africana and African American culture through art exhibits, lectures, cultural programming, foster a thriving social enviorment, and works closely with the greater Wilmington community.
