Submissions are Now Open for Issue #2
Issue #2 will be a tribute to Black people, therefore only those who are apart of the Black/African diaspora may submit
-We have an email-based submission guide! All submissions must be emailed to [email protected]. Once your work is emailed, please complete this form!
-We accept submissions in the categories of poetry, short fiction, short creative nonfiction, lyric essays, visual art, digital art, photography, and multimedia creations (such as a slam poetry videos). We are currently OPEN to submissions. -Each contributor can submit up to 5 pieces across genre, but there is no limit to art submissions. -For multi-submissions, include the genre beside the title. (ex. The Future Queen: Fiction, Sunflower: Poem) -Make sure the subject of your e-mail is "Seabreeze Submission" -Make sure your email consists of your full name followed by the title(s) of your submission(s) as well as the genre: poetry, fiction, nonfiction, visual art, digital art, photography, or multimedia. -For prose submissions, the word limit is 3,000 words. -Seabreeze accepts attachments in doc and docx for written submissions and jpg, png, or psd for visual submissions. -Seabreeze accepts simultaneous submissions so long as we’re notified if work is accepted elsewhere. -Seabreeze accepts visual images that have been published in other venues. -All rights will revert to the creators following publication, though we would like to be acknowledged should the work be reprinted at a later date. |
*Seabreeze is a biannual publication. We do not receive funding; therefore, we only publish electronically and we can not afford to offer monetary payment. All staff serve on a voluntary basis
